Seventy-ninth session of the Executive Council (EC-79)

The seventy-ninth session of the Executive Council (EC-79) will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 16 to 20 June 2025.

EC members are encouraged to submit proposals for amendments to session documents until 8 June 2025, to support timely processing by the Secretariat. Proposals should be sent to: plenary@wmo.int.

EC members are invited to attend the consultations on Friday 13 June in the afternoon on selected items on the agenda. Interpretation and online connection will be provided.

Tentative workplan

The detailed session agenda can be found in the Tentative Workplan tab on the left.

In this session, all draft Decisions are embedded in Doc. 1. To support tracking, the Secretariat has prepared the following table showing the status of each draft Decision as the session progresses.

A new draft of Doc. 1 will be prepared at the end of each day and made available for discussion the following day - except for Tuesday, when no draft Decisions will be discussed.

In addition, the Secretariat has prepared a more comprehensive tracking table that includes all draft Resolutions, Decisions, and Recommendations, providing an overview of the status of all documents.

Working languages

Simultaneous interpretation will be available in all six UN official languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) throughout the session.
